FISHING
Rice
Lake is one of Ontario's most productive fisheries. We are in
a prime fishing location just off the islands and immediately
opposite the mouth of the Otonabee River. We offer Boat &
motor rental, private docking, licenses, bait, fish cleaning and
freezing facilities.
A very fertile shallow lake, Rice Lake is home to many species
of fish. You will always have fun catching the various fish species
that populate the lake including, Bass, Walleye, Muskie and Pan
Fish (Blue Gill, Perch, Crappie, Sunfish, Catfish). When it comes
to fishing, Rice Lake is the place to be.
Ice Fishing on Rice Lake – Yes, you heard right! Changes
to Zone 17 Fishing Regulations means that as of January 1, 2010,
Yellow Perch, Crappie and Sunfish can be fished year-round.
